From Randall Coffman '83 Tara (Staton) Coffman '88 Hello from the capital city (OKC that is). Just wanted to drop a note and further display my internet participation. I hope that all of you are enjoying the alumni homepage. Those of us involved in the process have really been excited with the progress. Just a short line about Tara and myself for the record I suppose. Tara has a degree in physical therapy from the University of Oklahoma and is currently working in acute care with Columbia/Presbyterian in OKC. I teach junior high science in the Choctaw/Nicoma Park District, just outside the city. I have been teaching for 7 years. I am presenting a paper on meteorology in the classroom at the International Meeting on Popular Meteorology and Oceanography in Education to be held in Edinburgh. My e-mail is jccollard@aol.com I am really a novice at this computer correspondence, but since I am even worse at letter correspondence, I thought I’d give it a try. I’m looking forward to the class reunion in 1997. It will be Jodie’s (Jodie Paden, class of 1967) 30th and my 25th. We are planning to meet there in ‘97. I have two children, Lissa, age 6 and Jake, age 4. They are eager to see where Mom grew up. I keep in touch with Mary Jane McDaniel Burgess and a few others, but I wonder how everyone else is. Where’s Patsy and Morgan, and Ricki, and Gwen? Has anyone got any news on Patsy Falk? Well, I need to go get kids ready for bed. If anyone is out there, drop me a line. Thanks for the idea, Jimmie! From Jerry Burris '63 Love your home page. A great idea! I never use snail mail anymore--email is too, too easy. I haven't been back to visit in quite a long time, but I try to keep track of things going on in Mangum. I graduated in 1963 (impossible! so I want to say hello to all my former classmates. I live in Norman and work at Central Mid-High School as the Library/Media Specialist. I generally spend my summer vacation in a small coastal village in Italy. I may retire there. Just a few more years of hard work. In the meantime I cruise around on my motorcycle, collect old radios and eat pasta. Would love to hear from old friends on the net. jburris@telepath.com From Juanita (Powers) Redden 40 My e-mail address is lredden@nando.net. I would be delighted to hear from any of you. It appears that I will not be able to attend the meeting this year but I will be submitting my dues. I am from the class of 1940. Most likely the most distinguished class that ever graduated from Mangum High School Regards, Juanita Powers Redden From Jan (Willard) Wiggins '50Hello! What a great idea. Now, if you'd just add the officers email address. I'm with the class of '50.....Hi, Linda! Can't make it this year, but will send in my dues. Wayne & I traveled for 8 years. Mother's health started failing, so we had to come back and care for her. She's still going strong from the neck up! Wayne retired from office in '86, but when we came back to Wichita Falls...he couldn't stand it, so he went back to school and got his realtors license and is working with Gold Coat Realtors Century 21. He loves it. Guess that's the politician in him! I'm still writing & researching now & then. Taking care of mother & leaving my door open to 6 grandchildren doesn't give me much time for anything else. I have a lot of pictures from the '40's , but no scanner. Sounds like everyone is doing a great job with the association. Give everyone in the Class of '50, a big HELLO from me. Let me hear from you. Love & Prayers, Jan Willard Wiggins jtree@wf.netFrom David Kingery '79 Hello everyone from MHS. Good work guys......It is good to see technology creep into our Alumni. I believe this platform will provide an easier way of communicating back and forth with class mates. I hope this e-mail finds everyone well. The Kingery family lives and has lived in Norman, OK for twelve years now. We have a 10 year old son and a 6, almost 7, year old daughter. Their names are Paul Tyler and Molly Marissa Kingery. Both Paul and Molly are very active in Soccer. Paul is a sweeper/fulback and plays for the Washington Shooters outdoor team and the Norman Shooters indoor team. I coach both teams. Molly plays soccer for the Kennedy Dolphins outdoor team and very fast. Molly is tiny, but quick. She loves to put the soccer ball in the net and does so often. Paul will be trying out for the "classic" Norman Celtic traveling squad in July of this year. Wish him well. He really is a quality player/defender. Kheva is the Financial Secretary for Bethel Baptist Church in Norman. She has been with Bethel going on 12 years. She has a great deal of responsibility managing a $500,000 budget. I own a business, Health Care Associates, Inc. We staff hospitals, Nursing Homes, and other healthcare providers through-out the state of Oklahoma. We are in approx. 45 facilities in Oklahoma. It seems as though we work around the clock with work, school, three soccer teams and church activities. Both Paul and Molly came to know the Lord and were saved within the last two years. We are very proud of them. Paul will be on national television in May of this year. The national weather service in Atlanta came to Oklahoma this week to film a documentary on severe weather and tornados. They chose Oklahoma because of the high volume of tornados. The visited the Severe Weather Lab in Norman and visited Washington Elementry School. They chose Ms. Neals fourth grade class to inverview several students and Paul was one of them chosen. Oh well, enough about us. Send us mail and let us know how you are doing and what you are doing, where you live etc... .You can reach us by e-mail at hca@telepath.com. Health Care Associates also has a business web site/url.Its address is http://www.telepath.com/hca/. Sincerely, David, Kheva, Paul & Molly Kingery | |||||||
